Blake Cullen

BlakeĀ Cullen’s ability to swing the ball both ways at pace and from height won him a wildcard selection for London Spirit in the inaugural The Hundred in 2021.

He was retained by the Lord’s-based side for 2022 but injury preventedĀ BlakeĀ from returning for a second season.

BlakeĀ is a former pupil of Hampton School who progressed through Middlesex’s various age group sides before making his first team debut against Sussex at Radlett in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy.

By that stageĀ BlakeĀ had played for England Under-19s in a triangular home one-day series against India and Bangladesh in 2019 and the ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa just before cricket was suspended due to the Covid pandemic in early in 2020.

He had pressed his claims for an England call up by taking five for 68 against Glamorgan at Radlett in a Second XI Match in May 2019.

Blake’s Middlesex appearances were restricted to white ball cricket in 2023 and 2024 but he made his mark at the start of the 2025 season, recording career-bests with both bat and ball.

He took four for 60 against Kent at Canterbury and then made 42 in the first innings of the draw with Derbyshire at Derby.
