A quality cricketer of vast experience at home and abroad, Steven has captained Lancashire CCC in all domestic formats. A strong, dynamic batsmen, versatile fielder and excellent bowler. A Lancashire thoroughbred, man and boy, ‘Crofty’ was deservedly awarded a Benefit year in 2018. Having few competitors with the experience and talent of Crofty, he has led Lancashire across all formats.
He managed to shine throughout the 2020 season, especially in the Vitality Blast where he led Lancashire to finals day. He has actively pursued his coaching qualifications in readiness for a post cricket career. Steven continues to contribute for his home county, developing youth and shining with his own performances.
